The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a
* Flood Advisory for...
West central Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey...
Southwestern Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
Northeastern Lehigh County in eastern Pennsylvania...
Northwestern Bucks County in southeastern Pennsylvania...
Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania...
* Until 900 PM EDT
* At 458 PM EDT...Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across and
moving into the advised area due to thunderstorms. This will cause
minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Allentown, Easton, Bethlehem, Forks, Northampton, Wilson,
Hellertown, Nazareth, Pen Argyl, Wind Gap, Bath, Harmony, Alpha,
Ferndale, Belfast, West Easton, Milford, Tatamy, Bloomsbury and
Riegelsville.
These thunderstorms have a history of producing at least 1 to 2
inches of rain in an hour. These thunderstorms will continue to
track east and result in minor flooding.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
A Flood Advisory means river or stream flows are elevated...or
ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
