...short bursts of heavy snow...

At 205 PM...Scattered snow showers and flurries were moving eastward
through southeastern Pennsylvania, southern New Jersey,
Maryland's eastern shore and Delaware.

There have been reports of brief heavy snow in southern Pennsylvania
and northeast Maryland.

Although snowfall accumulations will be very localized, a few of
these showers will contain brief bursts of heavy snow that last
for a few minutes. The ground will quickly become snow covered in
a few locations with visibility suddenly reduced under one quarter
mile. Temperatures will plunge just below freezing and winds may
gust past 30 mph.

These rapidly changing conditions can lead to accidents. Use
extra caution if you are caught driving through a squall this
afternoon.
