* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  North central Berks County in eastern Pennsylvania...
  Northwestern Lehigh County in eastern Pennsylvania...
  Southern Carbon County in northeastern Pennsylvania...
  Western Northampton County in eastern Pennsylvania...

* Until 400 PM EST

* At 318 PM EST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from Strausstown to near Fairview Hgts, moving northeast
  at 55 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Severe thunderstorms will be near,
  Hamburg and Shoemakersville around 325 PM EST.
  Lenhartsville around 330 PM EST.
  Wanamakers around 340 PM EST.
  Jordan Valley and New Tripoli around 345 PM EST.
  Nesquehoning, New Mahoning and Emerald around 350 PM EST.
  Lehighton, Palmerton, Jim Thorpe, Slatington, Weatherly and
  Walnutport around 355 PM EST.
  Beltzville State Park around 400 PM EST.

Other locations impacted by these severe thunderstorms include
Weissport, Parryville, Weissport East, Centerport, Lansford, Summit
Hill and Bowmanstown.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
