...WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO
MIDNIGHT EST SUNDAY NIGHT...
The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of freezing rain...sleet...and
snow...which is in effect from midnight tonight to midnight EST
Sunday night.
* LOCATIONS...The southern Poconos and far northwest New Jersey.
* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain...sleet...and snow.
* SNOW AND SLEET ACCUMULATIONS..Up to 2 inches.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...One-tenth to one-quarter inch.
* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to begin overnight Sunday,
likely in the form of freezing rain. A mixture of freezing rain,
sleet, and snow is expected during the day Sunday. Light
freezing rain could linger into Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...Ice and snow accumulations will create treacherous
driving conditions. The weight of the ice on tree limbs and
power lines could produce isolated outages.
* WINDS...East 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph becoming west
10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph Sunday evening.
* TEMPERATURES...In the upper 20s and lower 30s.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow...sleet...or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities...and use caution while
driving.

Weather Advisory for a wintry mix of freezing rain and sleet...which
is in effect from 6 AM to 6 PM EST Sunday.
* LOCATIONS...Portions of the Lehigh Valley and adjacent northwest
New Jersey.
* HAZARD TYPES...Freezing rain and sleet.
* SLEET ACCUMULATIONS..Less than one inch.
* ICE ACCUMULATIONS...Up to one-tenth inch.
* TIMING...Precipitation is expected to begin late Sunday night.
Temperatures may be warm enough for the precipitation to begin
as rain, but they are expected to cool below freezing by sunrise
on Sunday. A mixture of freezing rain and sleet is expected
during the day on Sunday. Precipitation may transition back to
rain before tapering off during the early evening hours.
* IMPACTS...Ice and sleet accumulations may create slippery
conditions, especially on untreated roads, bridges, and
sidewalks.
* WINDS...East to northeast 5 to 15 mph.
* TEMPERATURES...In the lower 30s.
