...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 PM EDT
FOR NORTHERN NEW CASTLE...NORTH CENTRAL KENT...CECIL AND SOUTHWESTERN
CHESTER COUNTIES...

At 532 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from near West Grove to Bel Air South, moving east at 30
mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor damage to vehicles is possible. Expect damage to
         trees and power lines.

Locations impacted include...
Wilmington, Newark, Elkton, Calvert, Pennsville, Elsmere, Kennett
Square, New Castle, Oxford, North East, West Grove, Rising Sun,
Delaware City, Charlestown, Newport, Cecilton, Arden, Betterton, Glen
Roy and Blake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

To report severe weather contact your nearest law enforcement agency.
They will send your report to the National Weather Service office in
Mount Holly NJ.

In addition to large hail and damaging winds...frequent cloud to
ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Move indoors
immediately. Remember...if you can hear thunder...you are close
enough to be struck by lightning.
