...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHWESTERN SALEM AND WESTERN
GLOUCESTER COUNTIES...

At 450 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Salem, or 10
miles southeast of Wilmington, moving northeast at 10 mph.

Winds up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm.

Locations impacted include...
Pennsville, Carneys Point, Salem, Woodstown, Alloway and Quinton.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through
flooded roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
