...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHERN MONROE COUNTY...

At 1251 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Pocono Pines,
or near Mount Pocono, moving northeast at 10 mph.

Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail are possible with this
storm.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can
strike 15 miles away from a thunderstorm. If you see lightning or
hear thunder seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Locations impacted include...
Mount Pocono, Tobyhanna, Pocono Pines, Pocono Raceway, Skytop,
Mountainhome, Canadensis, Alpine Mountain, Scotrun, Long Pond,
Paradise Valley, Hernyville, Gouldsboro State Park, Arrowhead Lake
and Cresco.
