...THE FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 830 AM EDT FOR
SOUTHEASTERN MORRIS...HUNTERDON...NORTHWESTERN MERCER...SOMERSET...
NORTHERN MIDDLESEX AND CENTRAL BUCKS COUNTIES...
At 526 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated up to 2 inches of rain had
fallen from earlier thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area. Though the heavy rain has left the advisory area,
it will take a while for the water to recede. Thus the flood
advisory remains in effect.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
New Brunswick, Perth Amboy, Somerville, Somerset, Edison, East
Brunswick, Bridgewater, South Brunswick, Sayreville, North Brunswick,
Madison, Middlesex, Bound Brook, Manville, Chatham, Doylestown,
Byram, Bedminster, Flemington and Chalfont.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
