...ANOTHER WINTRY MIX HEADING OUR WAY...

LOW PRESSURE WILL MOVE NORTHEAST FROM THE SOUTHERN STATES THURSDAY TO
THE OHIO VALLEY AND GREAT LAKES REGION FRIDAY. A WEAK SECONDARY LOW
SHOULD FORM OVER THE DELMARVA LATE FRIDAY AND THEN HEAD NORTHEAST BY
SATURDAY. 

DUE TO THE MOTION OF THIS WEATHER SYSTEM, IT WILL PICK UP QUITE A BIT
OF MOISTURE FROM THE GULF OF MEXICO AND THEN THE ATLANTIC. WITH HIGH
PRESSURE TO OUR NORTH CONTINUING TO SUPPLY COLD AIR...THE
PRECIPITATION IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN AS SNOW OR SLEET AROUND MIDNIGHT
THURSDAY NIGHT. BUT AS WARMER AIR RETURNS FROM THE SOUTH...THE SNOW
AND SLEET IS EXPECTED TO CHANGE TO FREEZING RAIN AND THEN EVENTUALLY
TO ALL RAIN FROM SOUTHEAST TO NORTHWEST LATE THURSDAY NIGHT THROUGH
FRIDAY.

WHILE IT IS STILL TOO EARLY TO SPECIFY THE AMOUNT OF FREEZING/FROZEN
PRECIPITATION THAT WILL FALL...IT APPEARS THAT THE AREA NORTH AND
WEST OF PHILADELPHIA WILL HOLD ONTO THE COLD AIR THE LONGEST AND,
THUS, HAVE THE GREATEST THREAT FOR A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF
FROZEN/FREEZING PRECIPITATION.
