Hi all,

I have really enjoyed reading the exploits of the Northern Lights Radio
Society members on 10GHz! (I subscribe to that reflector and have sent
my dues in) The rain scatter in particular has been very interesting.

We don't have rain here in Montana, only smoke from 23 major Wild
Land Fires (forrest fires). I wonder, has anyone tried SMOKE SCATTER
on
10GHz?

I realize the particle size is most likely small for use to
scatter 10GHz energy, but is an interesting thought for us guys out
here
in the smoke. (visibility for the past week has been around 5 miles
due
to the smoke)

Anyone in RMVHF or PNWVHF try this just for kicks? Anyone in Montana on
10GHz?

Just thinking out loud..
