Subject: Alert! Beacon launch in Alabama


Bill Richardson here. I ama in Pell City Alabama at a high altitude 
balloon launch and they are going to test our 2 meter voice beacon on 
today's flight.   I need you to spread the word fast. The schools 2 
meter beacon will fly on the launch today and should have about a 400 
mile range.  I need hams from Jackson east to listen for the voice 
beacon on 146.565.  Launch is approx 1:30 CST.  Please listen if 
possible and maybe record it.
