[MRIC] Hold the Date -- MRIC Meeting Saturday, April 21 at 10:30 at Montgomery County

REMINDER: The next meeting of MRIC will be on Saturday, April 21 at 10:30
a.m. at Montgomery County.  Details and directions to follow.
 
Several news items to pass along.

1. Kristin McMenamin is still our contact with MEMA even though she has left
office as President of the Association.  I congratulate Steve Welzant as the
new President of the Association, but I am really glad that Kris will be
staying on to continue her work with MRIC.

2. Bob Long as stepped down as RO for Washington County after many years of
incredible service to the RACES community.  Butch Eigenbrode, NI2W will be
replacing Bob and we welcome him to the MRIC.

We had 16 people in attendance at the October meeting and I will be emailing
the minutes, updated contact list and frequency list before the next
meeting. Thanks to Dave Prestel and Kenny Coyle for hosting the October
meeting and to Dave additionally for taking minutes.  If someone would like
to volunteer to take minutes for April, that will be appreciated.

As always, if you can't attend and you would like me to represent your views
on a particular issue or agenda item, please email me your thoughts and I
will represent them to the group verbatim as I did last meeting.  I realize
not everyone can make each meeting and I want to make sure your voice is
heard.  

The focus of our next meeting with be uniform credentialing and resource
typing and I will be convening a meeting of the subcommittee that
volunteered to serve as lead on this discussion before our April meeting.
If anyone else is interested, please let me know.  From my notes I have Dave
Prestel, Tom Velvin, Frank Winner and Brett Hammond as serving on the
subcommittee.  Let me know if I left anyone off of the list.  If anyone
would like to host the subcommittee meeting, let me know.

The tentative agenda for April is as follows:

- Welcome, Attendance and Introductions
- Minutes from October Meeting Review and Approval
- Update RO Contact Info
- Update MD RACES Frequency List
- Uniform Credentialing and Resource Typing
- Health and Welfare
- Adjournment

Please feel free to forward additional items for the agenda and I will add
them.

Unless anyone objects, I will continue the practice from the last two
meetings and not schedule a lunch break unless the group wishes to do so.

I hope you are all well and I am looking forward to seeing all of you in
April, if not before.
