REMINDER:
The next meeting of MRIC will be on Saturday, April 21 at 10:30
a.m. in Montgomery County. Thanks to Montgomery RO Fred Bader for all of
the efforts to make this happen after some scheduling conflicts entered the
picture. Thanks, too to Dave Prestel for having Howard County EOC on hold
for us if necessary.
The meeting location will be the Montgomery County center in Clarksburg, MD
(a/k/a Clarksburg Cottage, Clarksburg Ombudsman) at 23201 Stringtown Rd,
Clarksburg, MD. It is located at the intersection of MD-355 and Stringtown
Rd which is about a mile from I-270.

It is my understanding that there is no phone hookup for those that asked.
Any RO that will not be attending and that wants someone to represent them
for voting purposes must forward an email with the name of the
representative.
As always, if you can't attend and you would like me to represent your views
on a particular issue or agenda item, please email me your thoughts and I
will represent them to the group verbatim as I did last meeting. I realize
not everyone can make each meeting and I want to make sure your voice is
heard.
The tentative agenda for April is as follows:
- Welcome, Attendance and Introductions
- Minutes from October Meeting Review and Approval
- Update RO Contact Info
- Update MD RACES Frequency List
- Updated 213 Form
- MEMA Auxiliary Communications Service Proposal
- Uniform Credentialing and Resource Typing
- Health and Welfare
- Adjournment
I have a pdf copy of the Howard County Resource Typing Standards that Howard
RO Dave Prestel forwarded to me. If you want a copy before the meeting,
please email me and I will forward you the file. I can't attach to these
emails, so I won't even attempt it.
Al and I attended a meeting at MEMA on March 24th concerning the formation
of a MEMA Auxiliary Communications Service similar to what exists in
California and Pennsylvania (among other jurisdictions) and Al and I will
offer an overview of that concept.
Please feel free to forward additional items for the agenda and I will add
them.
Unless anyone objects, I will continue the practice from the last two
meetings and not schedule a lunch break unless the group wishes to do so.
Please let me know if you will be attending.
I have attached the minutes from the October meeting at the bottom of this
email for your review. I will have copies of the contact info and repeater
info for your review and updating at the meeting.
