[MRIC] MRIC Meeting Saturday, October 22 at 10:30 in Howard County

REMINDER: The next meeting of MRIC will be on Saturday, October 22 at 10:30
a.m.

We are meeting in Howard County thanks to Dave Prestel's efforts to provide
a meeting room.  The location and directions are at the end of this email.
I will continue trying to keep these meeting as geographically centralized
as possible and I appreciate Dave helping us out with this.

Please respond to me if you will be attending, not attending or sending
someone with a proxy to represent your jurisdiction.  Also, please let me
know if you will be having additional observers attending with you.

As always, if you can't attend and you would like me to represent your views
on a particular issue or agenda item, please email me your thoughts and I
will represent them to the group verbatim as I did last meeting.  I realize
not everyone can make each meeting and I want to make sure your voice is
heard.   

We will conduct an election for MRIC Chair and if you want to run and can't
attend, please forward your intent to me and I will see that it is
represented.

The tentative agenda is as follows:

- Welcome, Attendance and Introductions
- Minutes from April Meeting Review and Approval
- Update RO Contact Info
- Update MD RACES Frequency List
- Irene and other activations
- Uniform Credentialing and Resource Matching
- RACES 101 Presentation Concept
- MRIC Website
- Election of MRIC Chair
- Health and Welfare
- Adjournment

Please feel free to forward additional items for the agenda and I will add
them.

Unless anyone objects, I will continue the practice from the last meeting
and not schedule a lunch break unless the group wishes to do so.

If someone would like to volunteer to take notes, that will be appreciated.
If not, I will concentrate on the meeting and take notes as best I can.

I will have the updated contact list, frequency list and minutes of the last
meeting available for review and approval/correction.  I have made the
corrections given to me between meetings for the contact and freq lists.

>From Dave concerning the location:

We will meet in Room 401 of the Gateway Building, 6751 Columbia Gateway
Drive, Columbia, MD 21046. The building is easily reached from I-95 north.
Use Exit 41 to Rt. 175 west. Gateway Drive is a right exit, just past the
intersection of Rt. 175 and Rt. 108. Once on Gateway Drive, the building
will be on your left, after you pass Eli Whitney Drive and Gateway Drive.
Yes, you will pass the intersection of Gateway and Gateway. Gateway is a big
loop that closes back on itself just before you get to the building. Go
straight through that intersection and the building will be on your left.

email to you.
