Approve Minutes:

-------------------------------------------------------
RO Contact Info:
The RACES Officer contact information list was updated and a motion made by Bob Long to accept updated contact info, seconded by Bob Lovell. Motion passed by unanimous consent without objection.
-------------------------------------------------------
RACES Frequency List:
The Maryland RACES Frequency List was updated and a motion made by Will Hatfield to accept the updated freq list; seconded by Dan Blasberg. The motion passed by unanimous consent without objections.
-------------------------------------------------------
Public Frequencies:
Chuck Hodell provided information on how to make RACES Frequencies widely available to the public by posting them on Wiki pages. Anyone that wants to post their frequencies, or update the frequencies already posted, should provide the information to Chuck and he will add it to the Wiki pages.
-------------------------------------------------------
Web Site:
There was general consensus that our web site should provide a means for readers to contact Maryland RACES Officers. Brett will check with our web master, Bill Bickley, to see if it is possible to have a dialog box to send an email to a particular RACES Officer, so that their email address is not publicly displayed (to prevent spammers from using it). Brett will also ask if it is possible to add a test to make sure the email sender is a real person.

There was also consensus that we display the website and primary contact frequency of any jurisdiction that wants that information available to the public. They must send an email to Brett specifically requesting that their website and/or frequency be made public and what it should be, or it will not be displayed.

There was also consensus that a button be added to be able to send an email to everyone on the MRIC Winlink Tech Support group.
-------------------------------------------------------
Next Meeting:
There was general consensus that MRIC reduce the number of meetings per year from 3 to 2, and set those dates well enough in advance of the 2 Association meetings each year, so that any interoperability recommendations approved by MRIC can be distributed 30 days before the Association meeting in order to be voted on at the Association meeting.

Since the Association meetings are usually Memorial Day week and December/January, MRIC will try to set their meeting dates in April and October/November.

The next MRIC meeting will be held on Saturday October 23, 2010 in Howard County.
-------------------------------------------------------
MRIC Interop Doc:
After some discussion there was general agreement that the equipment originally listed in Appendix A (with updates proposed at the previous meeting), should be added back into the document in a new appendix. The document was updated and reviewed during the meeting. The Winlink email addresses in Appendix B, were moved to Appendix C, and new Appendix B was added to include the specific equipment list.

Motion by Dave Prestel, seconded by Paul Tackish: To approve the MRIC Amateur Radio Interoperability Recommendations for Maryland Jurisdictions as amended at today's meeting.
