[MRIC] Next MRIC Meeting Saturday Oct 23

All Maryland RACES Officers:

Our next meeting is scheduled for just over a week from now, on Saturday October 23, 2010 from 10:30 AM until 3:00 PM somewhere in Howard County. Please plan to arrive early as we begin and end our meetings on time. We still need to confirm the location and will provide directions in a subsequent email.

If you cannot attend, please send someone from your RACES organization to vote in your place. You just need to send me an email by midnight the day before the meeting so I know who has permission to vote for you.

Per agreement at our last meeting, we will be reducing our meetings from 3 times per year, to twice per year, in April and Oct/Nov in order to complete pending work prior to Association meetings. Please bring your calendar so we can set next year's meeting schedule.

Also during this meeting, we will be electing our Chairman for 2011. I will not be running this year, as I have too many other obligations. You do not have to be nominated and can announce your intention to run at the MRIC meeting if you like, but it might be helpful if you sent an email to the reflector announcing your intentions so that if an RO cannot attend, and sends someone to vote in their place, the RO can tell them in advance who to vote for (i.e. you will get more votes).
