[MRIC] Feb 27 Meeting Reminder and Minutes

Pat,

As I mentioned before, our web site is still under development, but we are
getting very close to being finished. Since your last complaint about
posting the document, I have removed it from our home page and it has been
temporarily moved to the public documents folder. As soon as the web site
development is completed and MRIC members register with the web site to be
able to see private documents, I will make it private so only MRIC members
can see it. In the mean time, only 3 people have viewed the document (you,
me and someone else) so I don't think this is a big problem. It will be
removed from public access as soon as members have the ability to see
private documents, but since we are going to be discussing this version at
our next meeting, I thought it would be good to make it available to MRIC
members for review.

I suggest everyone take a look at our new home page layout at
www.marylandraces.org and more importantly, take a look at the old interop
document so we can discuss it at our next meeting. You can get to the
document from our web site by clicking the Documents button. Then scroll
down to the Public Information documents and click on RACES Interoperability
Plans/Standards. Then click on Amateur Radio Interoperability
Recommendations for Maryland Jurisdictions, then click on MORE and it will
display the entire PDF document approved on January 24, 2009 which contains
the equipment list.

I am trying to get the document approved in April (without the equipment
listed) posted as well so we can discuss the differences and get consensus
from a majority of jurisdictions on whether we want to list equipment or
not.

Brett Hammond
Chairman, MRIC
