Jim,

Kent County (Kent Amateur Radio Society) was activated three (3) times by
the Kent County EOC Director, as follows:

1) Four years ago, we were activated for Hurricane Isabel. For two days we
manned four (4) shelters plus the Red Cross Office, Hospital, and EOC.

2) In 2006, activated for power loss at 911 Center (EOC). Supplied RACES
portable generator to them and were requested to supply back-up
communications. Had stations on air for EOC, four (4) firehouses, plus
the
Hospital and Public Works; as well as backing up 911 center, including
communications with Maryland State EOC - activated for 5 hours.

3) Also, in 2006, activated for Hazmat situation at a local food processing
plant. Supplied portable WX station, communcations between the plant,
EOC and the shelter at Washington College. Activated for six (6)
hours.

Let me know if additional informatiion is required.
