All:
I am sorry that there are some jurisdictions that cannot attend the meeting
tomorrow, but the meeting was scheduled two months ago and it is not fair to
those that made special arrangements to be there tomorrow, to cancel the
meeting on short notice. There are always half-a-dozen or more jurisdictions that
cannot attend each meeting for one reason or another.
We will be meeting tomorrow and conducting the business put on the agenda
for this meeting. Please note that the business for this meeting was agreed to
by all those attending the previous meeting. I will distribute minutes
Saturday evening or Sunday morning to bring everyone up to date. Thank you for your
cooperation.

All,
Because of the number of jurisdictions that will not be able to make the
January 12, 2008 MRIC meeting, (Baltimore, Cecil, Harford, Howard, &
Washington Counties) I suggest that in order to maximize attendance, the
next MRIC meeting be rescheduled from Saturday, January 12, 2008 to
Saturday, February 23, 2008, with an inclement weather date of Saturday,
March 1, 2008.
If PG County cannot accommodate an MRIC meeting on either of the
alternate dates, Harford County will be more than happy to host the MRIC
meeting on those dates.
If it is decided that the meeting will go ahead on Jan 12, 2008, then I
propose that the election of the new chairman be postponed until the
next MRIC meeting rather than occurring on Jan 12, 2008.
