This is a reminder that on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at 10:00 AM local
time, there is going to be an MRIC sponsored HF net for the various
jurisdictions with HF gear set up at their EOC and/or alternate EOC. The
goal is to test various HF bands at different times of the day and year so
we all can see (or should I say hear) who can and cannot hear the other
participating jurisdictions. Please record the following information: Your
Jurisdiction, Jurisdictions heard along with a signal report and which
frequency. Following the net please e-mail your results to wb0egr at
wb0egr at mdraces.org so I can tabulate and summarize the results for
distribution.

We will begin at 10:00 AM on 7.250 MHz LSB +/- 5 kc. Net Control will be
WB0EGR and yours truly will be heard saying "Calling the MRIC HF Net,
Calling the MRIC HF Net..." After we run through all the stations and get
al the signal reports, the Net will then move to 3.950 MHz LSB +/- 5 kc and
repeat the signal reports gathering.

Then, for those interested in sticking around, the Net will then move to
28.525 MHz USB +/- 5 kc to give ten meter ground wave a test.

Please remember, following the conclusion of the Dec 20 MRIC HF net, please
e-mail you signal report logs to wb0egr at wb0egr at mdraces.org for
tabulation.

We will repeat the MRIC HF Net on January 3, 2009, and again on January 10,
2009.

73 & Happy Holidays to all!
