In noting the change of the November meeting, I see that it is the
weekend prior to Thanksgiving. That is the weekend of the largest and
oldest UltraMarathon in the US. The JFK 50 Mile Run. As such, there
will be no way that I can have a representative attend that meeting. In
fact we also call our a number of amateurs from Frederick and other
surrounding counties.
Thus, the new date eliminates our representation at that meeting. I
fully recognize that we are not a main cog in the wheel but we do feel
that it is most unfortunate that we cannot attend. I guess this date
was chosen for the greater good. Somehow it does not look good when 9
jurisdictions make policy for the whole state. We will abide with what
was decided at the last meeting.
