Good afternoon all--
As many of you know, the health departments in the Baltimore Metro Region and DHMH are assembling and programming ham radio go-kits (and now a few other counties have joined in--Kent and Cecil, and the list keeps growing).
As a part of this kit, we ordered "The Navigator"--which will allow us to send data/email through the rigs we purchased. The vendor, fortunately for us, is a local ham in Aberdeen, and has offered to conduct a one-time training on using the Navigator and the software. I am coordinating this training, but wanted to put it out to all of the RACES Officers to help me find a good date when I can get the most people there. It will be free of charge, and open to all RACES Operators, training officers, logistics section chiefs, comm. unit leaders, health emergency planners--anyone involved in communications for their organization.
Please check your calendars for October and early November. He seemed agreeable to weekend or evening date if that's what works best for all of you. I wanted to check first before setting something up.
Thanks everyone-
Terry KF6DLM
