Please save the date November 3, 2007!
1pm to 3pm, Anne Arundel County EOC Auditorium.
Free of charge
Open to everyone:
RACES Officers and Training Officers especially encouraged to attend--all operators and other interested parties may attend as well.
Glenn Wetherell, W3GWW, from U.S. Interface, Inc. the domestic distributer of the Navigator ham radio/laptop interface device, has offered a one-time training on using this equipment.
The Navigator is being used by all Region 3 Health departments in their communication go-kits, and many other counties (Kent, Cecil, Queen Anne's) have this equipment as well. This presentation will give you an overview of the Navigator, how to set it up, how to use it, software etc. and a chance to get all of your technical questions answered.
For those of you unavailable on that day or have long distances to travel, we will record the training on CD and make it available to anyone who wishes to view it.
I will also bring a go-kit with me along with the antenna kit so you can get a chance to become familiar with the equipment.
As we get closer to the event, I'll take a head count from you to get an idea of how many people may be attending.
Regards and 73
