A stiff PSU and neutralization at the freq of interest are key to keep these beasts civilized on the airwaves. My PSU has 8% regulation, same as the PE-73 thanks to patient assistance from Tom Horsfall WA6OPE and Dennis Duvall W7QHO.
I also have a tip on neutralization complements of Tom - use an all band receiver with HF FM capability. Listen to yourself on it while adjusting the neutralization cap behind the freq chart on the 375. When you can’t hear yourself blowing into the mic, you’re done. You’ll get far closer than going “by the book”.
