[MRCG] Visit to the Stanford Dish antenna

My friend, the late George Durfee, supervised the construction of the
Stanford Dish as the Chief Quality Control Engineer.  There's a great pix
of him sitting on top of the edge of the dish.

He was a big guy so the Army, in WW-II, gave him a choice, radio operator
or something else.  He thought radio operators got shot at a lot, so he
declined that.  So they gave him a BAR.  He fought from the coast of France
to inside Germany.
