Subject: [MRCG] MRCG Meet 2022 Update (mark your calendars)

When: October 7, 8 and 9

Location: Camp SLO, NCO Club

General agenda

Saturday - Early arrivals and NCO club setup

Friday (morning) - Pancake breakfast and fund-raiser (possible)

Friday (day) - Presentations and activities (volunteers wanted)

Friday (eve) - Looking at bringing catering to the camp, or the trek to
Jocko's

Saturday - Swap Meet

Update

I visited Camp SLO and met with Major Claffey, Director of Personnel and
Community Activities.  We are pursuing the use of the NCO club which is
planned to have finished it's renovation by the end of next month. I've
included a few pictures of the work being done, taken on Monday, August 1.
I am coordinating with the Curator of the Camp SLO Museum (Erik Brun) who is
sponsoring our presence on the base.  We are also looking at getting the
MVCC folks involved and a few other synergistic groups.

Since the renovation of the NCO Club is a government operation, we have a
backup (Plan B) which would be to occupy the left wing of "The Fight Club"
building across from the old Mess Hall.  We would get tables/chairs and
setup displays in that building.  If we want to, we would then use the
"Eden" building which used to be the old mess hall and has a kitchen and
areas to sit and socialize.  Downside is the tables/chairs are fixed
locations (see picture).  There is a large parking area outside the mess
hall for the swap meet if we need to stay clear of the NCO Club.
