[MRCG] German Field Phones

When I was a kid I found a set of sound powered field phones at a swap meet. I set them up on our 2 acres between the house an a fort my brother and I built. While hunting at Fort Hunter Ligget, I would wind up old field phone wire. A soldier  at Fort Ord showed me how to splice the wire. Later, I strung wire from our cabin to a floating dock on Lake Nacimiento to communicate from the house to the dock. Worked great!  Still have the phones too!
