Ira,
Do you know anything about the TA-1042a/u DNVT field phones can these be connected together and used as a basic point-to-point intercom?

Dave

The neighbors kindlyagreed to some WD-1/TT commo wire on the ground along the base of theirback yard fences. The kids had a lot of fun with them, we later upgradedto a pair of TA-1/PT types.. These things work great! I would imaginethere were a lot of houses, farms and shops connected via EE-8's back inthe day, good gear and pretty bullet proof.. Pretty sure the equivalentGerman phones got similar applications...The GRA-6 sets also make great field phones - we have used them to remotelyoperate an RT-70 and a PRC-47 at campsites. Here is our buddy Alex at theradio site - the remote was 100 meters away back at his tent in thecampsite (they can be up to 2 miles apart)...Fun!https://www.n6cc.com/wp-content/uploads/IMG_2718.jpgWhy? Because we can! hahaTimN6CCOn Sat, Apr 9, 2022 at 2:09 PM W6MQI via MRCG mrcg at mailman.qth.net wrote:> I've toyed with the idea of using some type of field phone to connect my> shack to the main house so the XYL won't have walk out when its raining or> just being lazy.>> Dave>> Sent with ProtonMail secure> email.> MRCG mailing list> Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/mrcg> Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm> Post: mailto:MRCG at mailman.qth.net>> Website: http://www.mrcgwest.org>> This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net> Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
