On a parallel note, my late Dad was an Air Traffic Controller in the east SF Bay Area when an episode of The Streets on San Francisco was filmed at Buchanan Field, his FAA facility. 

Good Guys stop Bad Guy from escaping in his plane by blocking the runway, while the ATC is yelling over the radio at the pilot. 

The crew that day hung out in the cab stonefaced while they filmed, and the poor actor was petrified. They gave him a passing grade and he couldn’t get back down the stairs fast enough.
