When I turned on the radio (BC-1306) a few minutes before 2100 I heard power line QRN about S-8 but no sigs. I figured the band was long and I guess it was.
At 2100 I tuned a little with earphones on I heard Dave very weak, about Q2 and I could get a little but not solid at all. Then I heard a yoopy signal about Q2 but in the noise, I could only get a word or two. After that I pulled the big switch.
Thanks for trying Dave. I think the time is going to have to change because the band usually goes long after 2000 hrs this time of the year.

Tim, The TCS sounded good here from what I could hear anyway :-) Kinda odd how our path is always so poor I've heard other San Ramon stations in the past without issue. Would like to do somemore test maybe on 3550 or 7050 at different times of the day to get a feel for what time maybe be best. Will try tonight starting at 1900 local on 3550, and 7050 listening to myself on KFS SDR Rx. Unfortunately I don't think KFS listens down to 7050 I sure do miss KPH.

Good job Dave as NCS! The band was very long, signals were weak at 0400Z
but I copied your ART-13 about 95% and NI6Q about 50% as my local noise
level was about S-7, lots of atmospherics...The Marconi sounded great Brian
- absent noise, was very solid here..Did not copy Andy or anyone else
however.
I was running my TCS into an Inverted L tuned for 3550 so the SWR was about
10:1 on 3985. I also think one of the 1625's was not operating as I could
only load to about 70 ma. Maybe radiating 5 watts? Did not see any RF
antenna current...Gotta pull maintenance on the TX.
Good job with the planning and execution! Let's do it again last Fridays
of the month at 9PM local times..
