Nick, I'm always in awe of the pictures of your collection! You're welcome to check in any time.
I have a partially-repaired UGC-6 that is still in pieces waiting for me to give it more attention (we've discussed it plenty on GreenKeys). Your C-1004B/SG control box looks really neat. I've always wondered how the operator was intended to control Tx/Rx from their operating position in various setups. I expect to have to make my own boxes for that function in my various future cobbled-together setups, and that picture gives me some ideas.
Tim N6CC forwarded me a message from the MMRCG list where you describe how you compose tapes offline while receiving. I do something similar with a text editor so I can paste text into FLDIGI. Between using an unfamiliar keyboard and typing blind, I bet my text will be heavily pre-garbled once I bring up my UGC-6 for use on the air.
