Hi Jim.
Great. Many thanks. I didn’t expect to hear anything at all but decided to
go downstairs and give a quick listen before bedtime. Heard a weak
deedle-deedle and quickly started to warm up the gear. Transmitter is a 72
tube TMC synthesized AN/FRT-70 so getting all 5 phase-locked loops up to
speed takes time.
I wasn’t copying very much so couldn’t tell if Mark had turned it over to
someone or had closed the net. I apologize for stepping on someone. Mark
was fading in and out but I could tell when he turned it over to me.
I’ll shoot some photos of the Teletype model 28 printout tomorrow.
I am really really thrilled to have made it into Clatternet West
particularly after our historic first Clatternet East this morning.

Cutting edge 60 year old technology rocks!
Here’s hoping the ionospheric deities make it possible to do it again
sometime with better copy all around.
Cheers,
Nick K4NYW
