I'm very sorry to hear of Mike's passing, I enjoyed his company at MRCG and also the Minden, NV N7RCA Swap. I've gone to the ARRL Convention in Yuma, AZ a few times and several years ago Mike invited me to stop by his house on my way back to the Bay Area but I had prior plans. A Great Guy.

Subject: [MRCG] Mike Brennan KA6PGN (SK)
I just got a call from wife Laura KA6VKF, that Mike’s key went silent yesterday after a short illness.
He was one of the first Hams I met up here in Eureka in the early 00’s, and he encouraged me to get my ticket with his voluminous knowledge of all things radio and, especially antenna. He lived and breathed antennas. They were second nature to him and he used that knowledge to help others and to build his dream antenna farm in Thermal after he and Laura moved south after 30 years of Humboldt’s notorious fog and rain over 10 years ago.
The man was also an inveterate joker. His repertoire of Blond Jokes was endless and Laura, his favorite Blond of all cut him no slack and kept him in his toes. He was clever, inventive, and did all his thinking outside of the box. Not one to ever play cards with, heehee!
He was also a serious machinist and enjoyed fabricating radio antenna parts from scratch if the original didn’t serve his purpose, or if a component became unobtanium.
The BC-375-E I (try to) check into the weekly Net with is one of his porch queen babies I adopted when they were moving south.
His substantial (to say the least) collection of Korean and Vietnam-era gear will need to be dealt with and Laura requested that we work thru family member Glenn Morrison, (760-770-6434) for all things radio-related. I’m sure Glenn will appreciate input regarding value and disposition of Mike’s gear. Much of it is set up as complete systems that he put years into collecting all the components for.
73, Mike, and have a ball riding the aether. Catch up with you in a while.
