I’m sure, for now, just hold her close in our hearts. Glenn would appreciate an assist in the disposition. He knows how much these set-ups meant to Mike.

If I recall correctly, Mike had contacts at the Palm Springs Air Museum. Probably many others because he was such a personable fella. Some of his complete systems were one of a kind and would serve as excellent reference to mil-gear heads like us, and the MVCA.

I have no idea about any planned giving, but I’m sure Laura would like it to be used for education and history preservation as much as possible and not end up scattered to the winds. However, scattered to the winds is better than in the junk bin at the transfer station.

A couple years ago, as part of our estate planning, I gave my wife a list of who gets what along with contact info. The bulk of my gear will probably go to Estrella’s facility, our MRCG brethren, and the CHRS Museum. The rest is just “stuff”, bits and pieces. I won’t be needing it, to be sure.

He lived and breathed antennas. They were second nature to him and he used that knowledge to help others and to build his dream antenna farm in Thermal after he and Laura moved south after 30 years of Humboldt’s notorious fog and rain over 10 years ago.

I’m sure Glenn will appreciate input regarding value and disposition of Mike’s gear. Much of it is set up as complete systems that he put years into collecting all the components for.
