We have a full set of these Janes reference books at my place of work they're fun to flip through. I have never seen any books going back to WWII , but again I haven't seen every volume, and we have volumes of these books.

This reference covers only equipment being manufactured or still in service within the respective country at the time this reference is published. There won't be any coverage of old or plainly obsolete gear.
You probably will find mention of the AN/VRC-12 series and the AN/PRC-77.

I've wanted to pick up a copy of this Jane's MilCom volume. I was wondering if the 93-94 volume would also cover WWII and Vietnam era comm gear? There are several volumes available going back to 1983-84. Would I be better off getting an earlier volume?
Guidance please.
