Hi Peter,
Our assumption is most Mil Radio operators will congregate near known green
radio calling / net freqs, so that gives us a starting point. We'll
probably run our Saturday morning net on 7296 kHz from the site and just
keep going. I would expect AM activity to be centered around known calling
freqs and near the "windows". This may make for some grief from the
old-school AM'ers. Later period frequency agile sets won't be limited, but
anything rock-bound will likely be near 3880, 3885, 7295 and so on. Of
course if we're calling CQ, we'll naturally log non-mil radio participants
that wonder what "mil radio field day" is, but that's ok. My guess is there
will be a lot of "do you know you're on the wrong sideband?" comments when
we're working 160, 75 and 40M, haha
Mil Radio Field Day makes me back about 15-20 years ago when Electric Radio
announced "Dynamotor Night". Maybe we need to work on that next...
