I wonder what happened to the P-63 that Bell kept for many years at their
Wheatfield, NY (Niagara Falls Airport) plant where I believe the P-39 and
P-63 planes were built. I was told by a long time Bell employee that Larry
Bell really liked the P-63 and just kept one ready to go in their hanger
there. He said they woulkd occasionally use it to "run errands" around the
East Coast area. I have an original Bell publicity glossy photo that has a
P-77, P-39, P-63 and P-59 flying in echelon formation. My wife's mother
had it stacked behind some framed family photos. They lived in Niagara
Falls.
