Yes, plus it normalizes the three legs and seems to provide a bit of
harmonic suppression, I suppose due to the added inductance.
I used an Aircraft lighting transformer. I think I have seen them cheap on
Fair Radios website.

Interesting! Do I guess correctly that the VFD doesn't have a neutral output
leg, but the 618T-2 needs one for the single phase 115VAC input for its
servos, and thus the delta to wye transformer is needed?
