[MRCG] Radio Exercise Friday May 3rd, Estrella Wabird Musem, Paso Robles

Looking Forward to our next West Coast Military Radio Collectors Meet and
the Friday morning Radio Exercise.

 

I will be acting as the Net Control for the exercise, we will operate on
3.885 MHz AM Mode using the museum vertical antenna, please note that my
equipment (a Collins PRC-515) does USB only with a carrier. I will also
operate  wideband FM with a PRC-77 with no tone squelch to accommodate those
that may have older equipment without tone squelch.

 

As we did last year I have a list of locations and will assign each operator
a location so be sure to have a local area map or GPS.

 

We would like to have people on their way out to the field no later than 9
so we can operate for at least an hour.

 

Anyone who has equipment that will operate on another band such as 10 meters
or 2 meters please bring your equipment!! You will need another person with
similar equipment, the Museum has a 2 meter antenna we can use.

 

I would appreciate it if those who wish to operate would email me with what
equipment they plan to use and what band it will be on. My email is good on
QRZ

 

BE SURE TO TEST ALL THOSE OLD RADIOS BEFORE MAY 3RD!!!! I tested my stuff
earlier this week.
