All-
I have just acquired a new addition to my enigmatic 1938 USCG motor lifeboat
radiotelephone- the Shore end of the station, with the same receiver, and a
transmitter with three 807s modulated by two more. Does anyone have any
knowledge of this set? It seems that it was used on the east coast, but I
come up completely blank in finding any information on it. It was built by
RCA (RMCA to be more precise). The other unit, which was fitted to motor
lifeboats in the late thirties, had the same receiver with a smaller
transmitter of the same design with dynamotor power supplies, and was
weather proof when the cover was dogged down. I could really use a
schematic for this old girl, I hope to get it on 75 AM (the only band it
covers) by winter.
