Cool. I hope you had a good time there!

While I'm chattering on the list anyway, am I the only one in the group with an interest in newer mil radio gear, say from the 80s and 90s? If I wouldn't be the one weirdo boring the heck out of the rest of the group, I'd like to dial up my focus on newer hardware in MRCG activities. I've long had an interest in things like frequency-hoppers, digital message terminals, newer incarnations of RTTY, and the like. I recently started lusting after the various HF radio systems built around the Harris RF-590 receivers and RF-1310 exciters, but then I admonished myself to spend more time coveting the cool radios I already have, like my wonderful but neglected T-368C.

I won't turn up my nose at the classics, of course. In fact, I recently bought one of William Donzelli's tape winders, still in its original packaging from 1944, like the one he unboxed on youtube:

If anybody might be interested, I could leave mine wrapped up until May and do a live unboxing as a silly presentation. Folks could stand around and inhale that 1944 air as I cut open the box. :)
