Craig, you just missed a fairly nice CH-38 on evilbay.  It sold for $699.00.   I almost choked on my coffee when I saw that.   Wait till you try that set on the air....what fun that regen receiver is... the transmitter pulls the receiver so much it is almost impossible to net to a station accurately.     As they say,  close enough for hand grenades and a SCR-178.

All...I am looking for an SCR-178 set.  I actually have a lot of the components, but no chest for them.  I would build one, but the antenna brackets and other pieces make that difficult.  Shoot me an email if you’ve got a set you would part with.  I have a pair of DY-17s I will be bringing.  They were NOS and I’ve re-lubricated the bearings.  PM me if you’re interested or want pics.
