[MRCG] MRCG 2018 Friday May 4t Radio Exercise Survey

  At past MRCG Meets we have had a radio exercise on Friday Morning, it
would be nice to do the same this year but I need to know just what
equipment  people will bring and bands used so I can do some planning.

 

We have access to the Museum radio station antennas which consist of a Fan
Dipole and a Vertical  for 80, 40 and 20 meters, there are also antennas for
2 meters and 440. I have a PRC-515 Collins Packset that I will use on 3.885,
the museum has a bench inside that that has AC power and access to the
antennas. I would like to set up the HF station there. We could also run a
coax outside to a temporary antenna for 10 or 6 meters. I have a PRC-77 I
can bring for 51 MHz FM but would need an antenna for outside.

 

We would need at least two people with compatible radios for each band.

 

Please let me know what equipment, bands and modes it covers that you would
like to operate.

 

I scouted a few areas when we visited the Museum on the 5th and can provide
an address for the location but be sure to have a map or GPS to locate.
