  I could have worked you with either my PRC-515 on SSB, only 20 watts but I
bet it would have worked on my dipole or I could have used my Harris
RF-2301, a more modern, digital display and synthesized bit 100 watts.

Hi Tom - We had planned to have the GRC-9 fired up on AM but that didn't
happen.  We heard you call us but we could only listen with the TRC-77 (no
TX crystal for 3985 right now).. Thanks for trying - always good to have
reliable comms from that location.  No phone, power, internet connectivity,
wifi etc.  It's just (mostly CW) ham radio....
Fortunately the HF Propagation Gods are happy in the evenings again....
