Hi all..Alex and I were up in the Sierras this past weekend running TRC-77's with Andy on CW. He was running his ART-13 mounted in his Jeep and also his URC-58 at the Radio Ranch base. We had solid comms on both 40 and 80 meters, Day/Night. We were running a horizontal 150 foot random wire at 15-20 feet up. An easy 215 mile NVIS shot. We had three TRC-77's going.
We also checked in with K6KPH up at the MHRS station KPH in the Marin headlands, always reliable. Wally was at the key ready to take traffic.
We listened in to the MRCG AM net Saturday night but we didn't have time to get the GRC-9 running so we just monitored the net. Strong signals from nearly everyone up there, a very quiet site. Thanks for giving a listen for us, but we were in Radio Silence on 3985 kc. Good fun...
