Hi Jim -

The run to Jocko's in Nipomo is our very informal, off-schedule pre-meet
dinner. If you've been there, you understand why it's a highlight - best
darn steak in all of California ! Please try to make that if you can - you
won't regret it - but come hungry. They usually give us one or two long
tables so there's lots of socializing. I think some folks come to the meet
because of Jockos...

It is a long drive from SLO, but no way we would miss it.

Our schedule of events "should" be on the website, but I maybe we forgot to
update it. I'll post this tomorrow on the website when I get to the office.

It's going to run the same as last year, something like this:

Thursday - Early arrivals and setup, NCO Club around 1 - 2 PM. Then run to
Jocko's around 4 for dinner at 5.
Friday - Check-in around 8 AM at the NCO Club
Organize radio operations - operate radios, 9 AM to 12 (some
choose to operate off-site).
Equipment displays - all day in NCO Club
                lunch at CSLO dining facility
Technical talks and presentations - begin around 1:30 in NCO
Club, runs to about 4 PM (Andy KD6TKX organizing)
Dinner, many of us go to the dining facility again
Saturday - Swap meet begins at 8 AM
ARRL Awards Drawing at approx 10:45 AM (thanks!)
                Announcements and recognition awards 10:55
                Junk Auction at 11 AM
                Lunch at Dining Facility
More radio play until cleanup begins around 3

I think I'm bringing some 6m FM equipment and BC-1306 setup, maybe the TCS
or SCR-522 if I have room leftover in the truck. Common modes and
frequencies ( Mark, Dennis or Tom - please correct these as needed )

50.1 FM (wideband) (? is this correct ?)
144.45 AM
3985 AM (and what is the other frequency for compatibility ?)

John -

Is the Jocko's discussed in the MRCG mail list located in
Nipomo? Why so far for dinner?

I can't make SLO by 5 PM on Thursday but I might be able to make Nipomo. :-)

Have you seen a schedule of events yet? I can not find it.

If you want to call, I am at 805-491-3916.
