Hi Paul,
   I remember your display at the San Jose convention and look forward to seeing it again next year.  John is the contact point for our meetings at the fairgrounds but my suggestion would be for you to go out there almost any weekend and walk around buildings A - E which is where the displays and flea market will be.  When we go out to the fairgrounds it's usually for meetings and not necessarily walk abouts but there are events held there all the time and it would give you time to look at the layout and figure out what would work best for you.  Then contact John and see if you can coordinate your efforts and make it happen.

I had a WW2 field radio set up at the 1999 convention at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds outside with the SCR 399 and SCR 543.

I'll be bringing those sets as well as other gear and others will bring some interesting gear as well.

The main concern is for access to power and an area where some wire antennas can be temporarily put up. 

I plan to have the SCR 499 station fully operational and on the air with a special call just for the event.

Hi Kurt - Thanks, I didn't know that....that $50 MVPA membership will probably be a show-stopper for some people, especially any non-MV owning radio guys....

So looks like MVCC membership doesn't count!  LOL
