Thank you, Tom!

> Restaurant reviews for anyone interested, IMHO Jocko's was its usual quality and McClintock's was the best I can remember and it wasn't crowded. Alex Bar B Q has bit the dust, don't know what happened but it was closed and one window was boarded up.

I went to Jocko's on Thursday evening and loved it! The rest of the time, I ate at the mess hall. Except for breakfast, as I chose to lodge at the Vagabond motel, with a Denny's right next door.

I might be interested in dinner runs to additional restaurants next year. It's too bad about Alex's going away, but I do enjoy McClintock's.

> Did the fox hunt happen? If it did, I missed it.

Nope, it never happened. I apologize for not pushing it. I'm not good at being a schedule task-master, and I suggest that we ask for somebody to volunteer for that role next year. I noted that Tom W6TOM commented about not knowing what operating events were scheduled, and that sure sounds like he volunteered for the job to me... ;)

At least I've finally built the fox transmitter that I've been thinking of building for at least a decade. I'll bring it along to future events and will be delighted to run and/or participate in fox hunts, but I'll need to ask for a more skilled cat-herder than me to force the hunt to actually happen at a particular time.

> The swap meet would have been paradise for a newbie, we need more newbies.

Agreed! Thankfully we did have some new blood, resulting in us having about the same sign-in count as last year despite some of the notable regulars not making it this year.

I heard scuttlebutt that next year we'll be highlighting BOATanchors, i.e. Navy rigs, so I figure WA6OPE and KD6TKX will be particularly loving that.

I guess that I need to get moving on bringing up my RU/GP set for next year. This year I acquired an 115VAC 800 Hz + 28V DC aircraft generator with a spline to belt drive adapter, so that gives me another 800 Hz power option in addition to my solid state inverter conversion project that has been back-burnered for a couple years.
