I'm not sure whether you're looking for an entire VRC-19 set, or just one of the R-394 receiver units. I recall that we've talked about the mud pies on the net, but I don't remember which pieces you have and which pieces you're looking for. There are a couple of R-394 receivers on eBay at the moment from seller "airbum". I recently bought an AN/FRR-36 and a pile of R-394 plug-in modules from him with no issues.

The AN/FRR-36 is a standalone receiver that houses an R-394 and has a built-in speaker; I bought it on a whim just because it wasn't too expensive and looked kinda neat. I also have an AN/VRC-19 waiting for more of my attention. I don't know yet whether either set will need repairs, but at the very least, I'll need to fabricate a mounting bracket for the VRC-19's control head, build the interconnecting cable for the control head, and have crystals made for the transmitter and two receivers. One of the spare modules I recently got has a crystal in it that I can use to at least try out the receivers, but I'll still need to have some 146.52 MHz crystals made by ICM.

I also have an AN/PRC-21 draggie-talkie project. I've had the crystals made for it already, but I haven't gotten around to trying to build a battery pack for it.

I think that these radios are all neat, and I hope I'll actually play with them someday... :)

Well, maybe we'll talk about mud pies some more on the net this evening? I expect to be on the net tonight if no surprises come up.
