Have you any way of monitoring your own transmissions?
You could try using an external general coverage receiver
and dummy load for the TX. Of course a spectrum analyser
would be ideal but isn't really necessary. Spurs can come
from a lot of places. A two tone test might tell you if you
have distortion. Again, a receiver with a sharp filter, like
an old type crystal filter, could probably separate the
intermodulation products.
